Pakistan eased to a 10-wicket win in the fourth and final Test at the Kia Oval in London to draw the 4-match Investec Test Series 2-2. England’s resistance on the penultimate day could only make Pakistan bat again.

A target of 40 was done and dusted by the Pakistani openers Sami Aslam (12*) and Azhar Ali (30*) in 13.2 overs.

While Pakistan had won the opening Test at Lord’s, England came back strongly to win the Edgbaston and Old Trafford Tests.

The visitors had done enough already to be in the driver’s seat going into the fourth day’s play of the Eng vs Pak Oval Test 2016.

England was still 126 runs behind with just six wickets in hand when play started this morning.

The overnight pair of Gary Ballance and Jonny Bairstow added 40 more runs today before Sohail Khan struck.

Gary Ballance was caught behind for 17 leaving the hosts in tatters at 128 for 5. Next man in, Moeen Ali gave them hope with a solid partnership with Jonny Bairstow.

However, just before lunch Moeen Ali was caught behind off leggie Yasir Shah for 32.

Post lunch, Pakistan didn’t have to wait too long as England surrendered to be bowled out for 253.

Jonny Bairstow top scored with 81 from 127 balls with 8 fours. Yasir Shah bagged his fifth five-wicket haul in Tests.

The Man of the Match award went to Younis Khan as expected for his 218 while Chris Woakes and Yasir Shah got the Player of the Series awards for their respective teams.

Next in line for Pakistan are a couple of ODIs against Ireland at Dublin. Following that they face England again in a 5-match ODI Series and in a lone T20I.
