Ind Aus 2nd Test Highlights Day 4 : R Ashwin grabbed six wickets on the penultimate day of the second Test as the Ind vs Aus Bangalore Test result read the homeside defeating Australia by 75 runs to square the 4-match Test series 1-1.

It was an amazing comeback by the hosts after they were bundled out for a paltry 189 on the first day of the Ind vs Aus 2nd Test 2017. And, after the Aussies secured a sizeable first innings lead of 87 runs, a 2-0 series margin looked unavoidable with the Ind vs Aus Bangalore Test result expected to favour the Aussies.

Steven Smith was always going to be the prized scalp in the run chase as far as the homeside was concerned. The Australian skipper stayed around dangerously for India to keep Australia’s hopes alive. However, the luck was with India as a stump to stump delivery from Umesh Yadav literally rolled after hitting the pitch to trap Steven Smith lbw as shown in the Ind Aus 2nd Test highlights Day 4.

A controversial moment erupted soon when Steven Smith looked at the Australian dressing room seeking their opinion whether to take a DRS review or not. Virat Kohli observed it and was angrily gesturing at his Australian counterpart. The alert umpires were quick to act as they asked Steven Smith to leave the ground.

Steven Smith was dismissed for 28, and was the fourth wicket down with the tourists having less than 80 on the board. By the Tea interval, they had two more wickets going down with the score just crossing 100 as per the Ind Aus 2nd Test Highlights Day 4. Peter Handscomb was still fighting it out though the Test match was almost done and dusted.

R Ashwin caught and bowled Nathan Lyon as India wrapped up a stunning comeback victory with the Aussies falling apart under pressure, all of which can be watched in the Ind Aus 2nd Test Highlights Day 4.

When the Australian run chase commenced, the tourists were yet again relying on young left-handed opener Matt Renshaw to get them off to a good start. However, Ishant Sharma edged him out with an unplayable delivery. David Warner smashed R Ashwin for a six, but soon was lbw missing a sweep shot. And, when Steven Smith was dismissed, India could sense that the Ind vs Aus Bangalore Test result was heading their direction.

A win, otherwise seemed to be quite unreal for the hosts after Josh Hazelwood and Mitchell Starc triggered a batting collapse to neutralize the century partnership between the overnight pair of Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane.

Josh Hazlewood bagged six wickets as Cheteshwar Pujara missed out on a century by eight runs, and Ajinkya Rahane was dismissed soon after his half century as per the Ind Aus 2nd Test Highlights Day 4.

Wicket Keeper Wriddhiman Saha contributed with a precious 20 though to stretch India’s lead towards 200, and give them a decent chance for winning the Bangalore Test match.

Opener Lokesh Rahul for his crucial half centuries in both the innings of the Ind vs Aus 2nd Test 2017 was declared as the Man of the Match.
