India won the match against Pakistan in the ICC World Cup 2015 by 76 runs.
Even though the Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq stated that they will definitely win the match with India failed this time also. He made a comment that he does not know the reason for losing the last 5 matches in the previous world cups with India and his confidence of winning this match went in vain.
Misbah-ul-Haq played as a one man army and tried his level best to save the team but he did not get any proper support from other players.
As today is Sunday, India showed its talent and performed its best in all angles and satisfied thousands of people who went to Australia to view the match and other crores of audience who viewed the match in the television and entertained fans very much by winning over Pakistan with great difference of runs.
Batsman who were not in form also performed their best and bowlers also played well and everyone showed all round performance thus increased the chances of winning the match. Fielders also stopped the runs and took the catches very well thus destroying the Pakistan to low score and took their wickets.
MS Dhoni has done a good job as a captain with his timely thoughts. When he found that Umesh Yadav was giving runs, he decided to bring Mohit Sharma to bowl after 3 overs and also gave a gap for spinners and again brought Umesh Yadav which helped India to get two wickets in the same over and increased the winning chances for India.
In the next over itself Shami took another wicket and kept Pakistan into trouble. When the wickets of Ahmed Shehzad, Sohail and Umar Akmal were lost one after other, the chances of winning for Pakistan was out of the way.
The Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq tried to set in the crease along with Shahid Afridi, but when he was caught by Kohli, this has clearly shown the India chances of winning the match. Shahid Afridi scored 20 runs and gave a catch to Kohli at the covers. Misbah-ul-Haq went to the pavilion when he made an individual score of 76 and was caught by Ajinkya Rahane at deep mid wicket under Shami’s bowling in 46th over.
The Indian bowlers Umesh Yadav, Ashwin and Shami kept the runs under control by bowling well. The Pakistan innings came to an end in 47 overs and they scored only 224 runs and brought first victory to India in the ICC World Cup 2015.
Shami took 4 wickets in 9 overs by giving 37 runs and Mohit Sharma and Umesh Yadav took 2 wickets each. Ashwin and Jadeja took single wicket each and contributed to India’s victory.
In the batting Virat Kohli scored 107 runs, Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina scored 73 and 74 runs respectively and took the score to reach 300 runs. The teams Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and India scored more than 300 runs in the matches in pool A of the World Cup. The next match for India is with South Africa next Sunday.
