IPL 10 Latest News Update : Former England star cricketer Kevin Pietersen announced that he will not take part in IPL 10 aka IPL 2017.

Kevin Pietersen said that he has a very tight season this winter and hence would not put up his name this month’s IPL player auction 2017.

The former England captain tweeted: “I won’t be going into the IPL auction. My winter has been too busy with all my travel & I don’t want to spend April/May away too.”

The 36-year-old Kevin Pietersen had played in the South African domestic T20 tournament CSA T20 Challenge 2016 where he scored 198 for Dolphins in five innings. Later, KP featured in the Big Bash League 2017 in Australia where he got 268 runs for semi-finalist Melbourne Stars in eight innings.

The tall dominating batsman also represented the Quetta Gladiators in PSL 1 in 2016 and will again play for them in PSL 2 which will be played from February 9 to March 5. The Indian Premier League, the richest of all the leagues is slated to begin in April first week and will only end in the third week of May.

Kevin Pietersen played for the new IPL team Rising Pune Supergiants in IPL 9 playing only four games before he was ruled out of action with a calf injury. The Rising Pune Supergiants released him from their rooster in December 2016. KP would have had to go through the IPL player auction 2017 to find himself a new team.
